Excel.exe Corrupt File

Excel.exe – Corrupt file

The file or directory C:\docume~1\username\Local Settings\Application data\Microsoft\Office is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility.

Solution: Go the the location above and rename the Office folder. Office will create a new one when you launch any of the  office application.

How to enable Outlook dumpster on all folders

This is how you enable the dumpster on all folders.
 
1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Exchange\Client\Options
3. Right-click the Options subkey, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
4. Type DumpsterAlwaysOn for the DWORD name, and then press ENTER.
5. Double-click DumpsterAlwaysOn.
6. In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
7. Quit Registry Editor. 
 

Can’t open attachment, error: can’t create file

Outlook 2003

If you open the an attachment with the same name for 99 times you will get a message saying can’t create file. To correct the problem.

    1. Open REGEDIT.EXE and go to Edit -> Find… In the Find dialog box type “OutlookSecureTempFolder” without the quotes and locate that registry key.

    2. That key will contain the actual folder location, and will look like:

       C:\Documents and Settings\%USER_NAME%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLK#\ (where # is a random letter or number)

    3. Change the # to a different #.

    4. Restart Microsoft Outlook and you should be able to open your attachments.

    OR

You can remote into the C drive from another computer and delete the files or rename the folder.
